There have been some incredibly ambitious floatplane and seaplane designs in the past, although, I haven't seen too many far out designs in aerodynamics for float and seaplanes in recent years. The United States Navy did a project where they had a jet fighter plane which was able to take off in the ocean, but it didn't approve to be all that effective. I would submit to you that today with what we know now about fluid dynamics, hydrodynamics, and aerodynamics that we could actually build a high-speed aircraft which could take-off it land on water, and still be completely...
